2018
a band is born
Just over 4 months after the tragic accident in 2018, when Haimons lost their lifelong drummer, Kai Hellesøe, the pieces fell into place in the big puzzle about the continuation of the former Sønderborg/Aabenraa band.
Initially, it was members of Haimons and Group LSD who were spliced together in order to realize the brand new 60s beat band Group BUSSTOP, consisting of Tim Hansen, Ole Skau, Jan Christiansen, Frank Hansen, Søren Jensen & Totte.
Already on Friday October 5th of the same year, the group was ready for a 2 x 45 minutes intimate concert in the Skyttehuset on Kær near Sønderborg, and due, among other things, to the massive press coverage from "Ugeavisen Sønderborg", "SønderborgNyt" and "JydskeVestkysten" the influx was so great that an extra concert was immediately arranged on Sunday, 7 October.
Saturday November 3rd is "Bobby Day" in Sønderborg, and at 15:15, Group BUSSTOP was able to go on stage for the first time on the big scene (Theatre Scene), and even though it was the middle of the day and still light outside, yes... the hall and dance floor were full.
Following interviews in "DKSyd TV" (former: SLTV) by Bent Aage Hansen ended a fantastic day for the group, and BUSSTOP had really started on the local scene.

Premiere in the "Skyttehuset"
On Friday 5 October 2018, Group BUSSTOP was ready for a totally sold-out premiere concert in Skyttehuset in Sønderborg + an extra concert 2 days later on the 7th at the same place.
The concert had come into place with the help from the "Sønderborg Ugeavis" and due to chairman Tage Christensen's initiative.
It should become a recurring event in the years to come.
First time at Bobby Festival
The Bobby Festival was just around the corner on Saturday, November 3, 2018, and at the hour 15:15, Group BUSSTOP was able to go on stage for the first time on the big scene (Theatre Scene), and even though it was the middle of the day and bright outside, well... the dance floor was full from the first note.
Subsequent interviews in "DKSyd TV" (former SLTV) by Bent Aage Hansen ended a fantastic day for the band, and Busstopperne had really started on the local music scene.
